Coaching and Technical Assistance

Looking for ways to take full advantage of payment reform initiatives? From project management to workflow design to Meaningful Use (MU) coaching, our expert staff offer the technical know-how to help you meet the qualifications for EHR Incentive Program payments.

Our coaching and technical assistance get results for members. Of the 193 eligible providers across HealthEfficient’s full-member health centers, 97% have attested for AIU to date. Plus, 62% have achieved Stage 1 Meaningful Use compliance. We assist numerous other organizations with Meaningful Use through our work as Regional Extension Center agents and through other network services.

How are you doing?

Want to see your progress on Meaningful Use incentives? Among our many reporting services, we can provide you with a user-friendly dashboard so you can see how well each of your providers is doing. The dashboard shows each provider’s progress in meeting requirements. Plus, it identifies your configuration and workflow needs. We know which questions to ask so we can understand how you’ll use the information—and build the reports that fit your organization.

Training

Since 2008, we’ve offered super-user and end-user training to health centers who use eClinicalWorks, helping staff master the skills they need to get more work done, faster—and focus more on patient care. If you’re new to eClinicalWorks, we can help you train your staff on the system right from implementation. And if you’ve been using eClinicalWorks for a while, we can work with you on a one-time or an ongoing basis. We design customized training services to meet the needs of our customers and members as they arise, and deliver standardized training on an ongoing basis for new hire orientation and major system upgrades.

Keeping your staff up to speed on technology can be challenging, but it’s crucial to your success. Integrating EHR into your clinical process can be even more challenging. That’s why HealthEfficient will customize its training to fit your health center’s unique needs. We start by sitting down with you to develop a process that works best for you and your staff to meet your goals.

Every health center has different needs. We’re here to work with you in the way that’s just right for your organization. Sometimes that means training on site at the start, with online training later. We often recommend that our staff “shadow” your providers in their work so they can fully understand how eClinicalWorks is used in the context of working with patients.

The HealthEfficient team are experts in configuring and optimizing use of the eClinicalWorks and the integrated OpenDental system, as well as BridgeIT for eClinicalWorks reporting. Standard and customized training curricula for onsite or virtual delivery are available for super-users and end-users. HealthEfficient can be your resource for all your EHR-related training needs, or used as a supplement to your in-house training department.

Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH)

The NCQA requirements for PCMH can be complex and confusing. HealthEfficient understands how important accreditation is to your health center. Our coaching service can bring clarity and understanding to the process of meeting the PCMH requirements.

We can help you create measurement reports that look at the gap between your existing processes and the PCMH requirements. Recommend best practices to you. And help you with documentation requirements prior to submission. Our educational support helps you understand NCQA requirements to achieve PCMH recognition. Plus, we can help you identify overlap between PCMH and Meaningful Use requirements.

Here’s how the process works.

  1. First, we’ll perform a gap assessment that takes you through each requirement, identifies what your current process is today, and what processes you would need to modify.
  2. Next, we’ll use the gap assessment to discover if you have any existing reports that you could use to track the requirements—and how you could create reports to monitor the various requirements.
  3. We’ll coach you on screenshots and other supporting documentation required.
  4. Once you have all of your necessary documentation, we’ll advise you on how to upload the material to the NCQA website and provide the additional explanations.
  5. Finally, we’ll review the submission package with you before you submit it.

Application Hosting (Data Center)

One of the most expensive and challenging aspects of IT is maintaining a physical infrastructure that’s secure, efficient, expandable, and able to recover quickly if disaster strikes. Our central server solution is available to health centers who are looking for a worry-free infrastructure solution to keep patient and other corporate data safe and sound.

Our state-of-the-art data center hosts critical applications such as eClinicalWorks, OpenDental, eBO, and BridgeIT, along with other high-priority business applications. It provides Level 3 protections, from backup power supply to redundant data communications connections to environmental controls (e.g., air conditioning, fire suppression) and data security. This hosting solution can drastically reduce members’ IT support costs while it delivers highly available access to electronic patient records and other applications—without business disruption.

And, if you’re already confidently hosting your own applications, but you’re concerned about your disaster recovery capabilities, we can help. HealthEfficient will customize a disaster recovery/business continuity plan just for you.
